Per Georgia state law, all minors MUST have either a parent or guardian present with them, and this person must join them in the piercing booth during the procedure. A parent is required to provide a birth certificate, and a guardian is required to provide a proof of guardianship form. We are able to pierce ages 14 and older.

Pain levels vary depending on the individual's pain tolerance and the location of the piercing. Generally, there is some discomfort, but it's usually brief. As our reviews will attest, the experience, knowledge, and compassion of our piercers really shine through on this front!

The best thing you can do to prepare for your piercing is get a good nights sleep the evening before, and eat a substantial meal before you arrive. Rest and sustenance help ensure your body feels 100% heading into your piercing! Beyond that, wear comfortable clothing, and make sure you have no make up, etc on the area you're planning to have pierced.

Healing times differ based on the type of piercing and individual healing tendencies. On average, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Since every client and piercing location heals at a different rate, your changeout date can be dependent upon those factors. At Norsk, your piercer will provide you with detailed information on what to expect for changeouts, and we also offer complimentary piercing follow ups to inspect where you are in your healing process and if you're ready to change out your jewelry. Norsk Studios also offers a jewelry changeout service to help mitigate the risks of doing it yourself!

All piercers at Norsk use single-use, pre-sterilized needles for all procedures. Piercing guns cause unnecessary trauma, cannot be properly sterilized, are reused on different clients, and are not accurate or precise.

We do not pierce any pregnant clients. Any infection that could occur in the new piercing has the potential to transmit to the baby.

Unfortunately, for the benefit of your health and safety, we do not pierce with any outside jewelry. Norsk Studios has relationships that allow us to provide you with the highest quality jewelry and assure sterilization throughout the piercing process. We cannot attest to the standards of outside jewelry. However, all of our piercings do include our standard jewelry free with the piercing. If you have a healed or existing piercing, we're happy to put in outside jewelry for you in our changeout procedure.

No! All of our piercings are done on a first-come first-served basis, with no appointment necessary. Walk-ins are always welcome anytime during normal business hours. Please call the studio directly at (678) 745-3463 to inquire about potential wait times or if you're planning to come in towards the end of business hours to ensure we're able to accommodate you.

That's the thing about your beautiful body; it's unique! This means your sizing will be too, based off your anatomy. All of our piercings include a sizing consultation to ensure you are getting the best fit possible. We're also happy to help size you when getting a changeout service or when purchasing new jewelry.

Your gauge refers to the thickness of your jewelry post or bar. The higher the number, the smaller the diameter of the post or bar, and vice versa. This number will vary based off jewelry type and placement. Our studio provides you with a notation of your gauge following each piercing. Feel free to reach out directly to our studio's piercing team if you have any questions regarding sizing!

This answer varies based on placement and anatomy. However, our piercer will always give you the best recommendation to prioritize your health and safety and accommodate your wishes. For curations, we're also able to provide you with a timeframe schedule for the safest means forward in achieving the final look.

A small amount of bleeding is common within the first few days. If you ever have a question about whether something is normal during the healing of your piercing, come by the studio or contact a piercer anytime!

For your health and safety, we do not allow guests back into the piercing booth. Sometimes guests react, can contaminate the sterile environment, or even distract your piercer. But don't worry, we promise our piercers are excellent company!

If you have a sunburn, breakout, or rash in the area you're looking to get pierced, it's important to allow that skin time to heal before getting pierced. If you're unsure, feel free to come by and consult with one of our piercers.

As gently as possible! wThe more considerate you are towards your new piercing, the faster it will heal. Always wash your hands with non-scented antibacterial soap prior to handling.

At Norsk, we make available some of the very best piercing specific care products on the market. We have everything you'll need to care for your piercing from start to finish!

Sleeping on a new piercing can be difficult or uncomfortable, and can also delay healing or cause placement issues. When it's impossible to avoid sleeping on one, we recommend a travel pillow or donut to alleviate pressure.

You're good to hit the gym while healing your new piercing. You simply want to be diligent in keeping it clean, and continue to follow all aftercare instructions.

Our recommendation is to wait 4-6 weeks depending on the piercing. You especially want to avoid oceans, lakes, and ponds, as these can harbor bacteria that are prone to causing issues with the healing process.

Piercings can close up over time without jewelry. The rate at which this occurs depends on individual anatomy, how long the piercing has been there, and the location of the piercing. If unintentional and you cannot get back in on your own, we recommend visiting the studio as soon as possible!

Risk of keloids vary from individual. Maintaining proper aftercare, limiting trauma to the piercing site, and waiting until healed to changeout jewelry all help mitigate these risks. Piercing bumps are often mistaken for keloids. If you're concerned you may be developing one, come by and see a piercer as soon as possible so we can guide you through preventative measures and ensure proper care.

The use of a cold compress, over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication (if safe for you), and avoiding activities that increase blood flow to the area can all help reduce swelling.
